Abstract
A hollow-shaft rotor cooling system is often used for automotive traction motors. Although it has good cooling performance, there is a possibility of coolant leakage into the rotor space at the motor rear side that houses the resolver. The proposed solution discloses a sealing system for ball bearing and axial bearing that seals the entire resolver space from both sides ensuring smooth operation and longevity of the resolver.
