Abstract
As telecommunication networks grow in size, they also grow in complexity, and it becomes more difficult to identify network risks. Techniques described herein provide for modeling, forecasting, and proactively planning mitigation for risks at the network and individual service layers. Modeling of a network fiber risk involves selecting risk parameters, defining risk parameter subcategories, and modeling the risk parameter subcategories.
