Abstract
This disclosure describes automatic smart calendar management techniques that enable users to effectively manage time by prioritizing focus times, which are contiguous blocks of uninterrupted time dedicated to individual tasks. The techniques enable automatic meeting scheduling and management for users in a manner that increases the available focus time and minimizes meeting time. Per the techniques, users can set weekly or daily parameters indicating minimum focus time and maximum meeting time. Users can also set a window starting at the present time during which no new meetings can be scheduled. The calendars of meeting invitees are analyzed with their permission to determine common free slots in a manner that meets the minimum focus and maximum meeting time constraints for all participants.
