Abstract
Mobile devices, such as wearable computing devices (e.g., smart watches), may default to a particular radio for tethering (e.g., connectivity) with a computing device (e.g., a phone). In accordance with the techniques disclosed herein, a wearable computing device may utilize a connectivity context to proactively provide power efficient connectivity between the wearable computing devices and the computing device. The wearable computing device may select a radio from a plurality of onboard radios based on the connectivity context. The connectivity context may indicate conditions for which the selected radio may be better suited for connectivity (e.g., data transfer) with the computing device in terms of power consumption.
