Abstract

This paper describes a composite projection configuration which utilizes a single video display where the projection configuration contains a collection of convex lens stacks that exhibits 4 unique focal length categories. The composite projection configuration will consists of 8 identical vertically oriented sub projection configurations. Each identical vertically oriented sub projection configuration, will be structured into an upper section and a lower section. The upper section containing within the generally utilized vertically oriented sub projection configuration, will contain 4 convex lens stacks, 8 reflecting surfaces and 4 active video screen portions utilized from a commonly utilized video display that are collectively allocated for the upper section. And the lower section containing within the generally utilized identical vertically oriented sub projection configuration, will contain 4 convex lens stacks, 8 reflecting surfaces and 4 active video screen portions utilized from a commonly utilized video display that are collectively allocated for the lower section. The composite projection configuration, collectively utilizing the 8 identical vertically oriented sub projection configurations, will have the capability to project projections, which will be displayed in the field of view of the user of the configuration. The composite projection configuration, can be utilized in dual configuration (one composite configuration per each eye of the user), as a virtual content viewing device.
