Abstract
There are a variety of scenarios in which it may be advantageous to monitor the location, operating conditions, environment, etc. for different locations at which people and/or equipment lab equipment may be located. Presented herein are techniques to facilitate monitoring and/or management of different environments, such as monitoring occupancy for workplace and/or public resource locations, monitoring health, safety, and/or operating conditions of lab equipment, among others, using wireless local area network (WLAN) technologies that can be used to interface with different sensors that may be provided in different environments. Data from the sensors can be collected via WLAN communications and analyzed in order to facilitate such monitoring and/or management.
