Abstract
A people-carrying drone comprises parts that form a base, waist-level flight-deck and overhead airframe adapted as a multicopter. Base and drone share similar outline, in order to form an undercarriage for support on the ground. The base also provides a means of fixing columns around which flight-deck and drone can be slid into place. The flight-deck surrounds the operator or forms three sides that include the columns, in which case the operator is allowed ingress from any side. An alternative means of boarding is for the drone to be powered up to position from ground- or another level.
