Abstract

When someone is presenting on Zoom or to a live audience, it sometimes can be difficult to know which point the presenter is discussing when they point at the screen. In the past within person only meetings the presenter would walk up to the screen and point or use a laser pointer. In today’s age of hybrid work, attendees are mixed both in person and remote. This solution automatically highlights the part of the presentation that the presenter is pointing at, so it is easier to follow the presentation. Using a camera, this solution identifies the area of the screen the user is pointing at and automatically highlights that part of the screen effectively turning the user’s finger into a laser pointer. This can then be shared to the remote audience and other screens that may also be in the room.
