Abstract
Feedforward haptic feedback methods are described herein. One example method is performed while an artificial-reality user interface (UI) is presented with a target UI object, a background UI portion, and one other UI object. If a representation of a body part of the user on which the wearable device is worn is within the background UI portion, the method includes providing a first haptic feedback. If the representation of the body part of the user is over the one other UI object, the method further includes providing a second haptic feedback indicating that the representation of the body part is not over the target UI object. If the representation of the body part of the user is within a predetermined distance of the target UI object, the method includes providing a third haptic feedback indicating that the representation of the body part is near the target UI object.
