Abstract
Techniques described herein provide for using existing native private/public cloud tags' constructs across different clouds while still being able to normalize groups and rules constructs for an effective enforcement that is cloud independent, region independent, and IP address independent. Techniques described herein provide for normalizing the tags into a common format, normalizing the tags into a common address space, and propagating the tags and rules across clouds/systems for effective enforcement.
