Abstract
Digital maps or local search services do not support visual searches. Therefore, users cannot use these services to identify places based on a visual description. This disclosure describes the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to help users find the exact place they search for based on a user-provided description of the place. Generative AI is used to generate images based on the description provided by the user. The generated images are contextually matched with similar images of places on the digital map to identify matching locations, which are then returned to the user.
