Abstract
Most ink cartridge packaging solutions utilize a non-recyclable, non-biodegradable solution in returning ink cartridges. An existing clip design exists that can be fitted with gel pads to protect the ink cartridge and add other benefits to shipping. This gel pad can be made with select materials to create a biodegradable gel pad solution that lowers cost and carbon footprint.
