Abstract

3D printers are powerful tools for companies involved in prototyping since they can iterate designs much faster than other technologies. The main difference between MultiJet Fusion 3D and their competitors is the usage of agents to, accurately, generate and form the desired part’s exact shape. To ensure that these agents land accurately to the powder, to precisely melt the requested shape, an alignment procedure is performed on the printer recurrently. This alignment process is printed on a paper above a specific alignment plate. This cannot be printed directly on the final surface as the dot detection accuracy on the powder is worse than on the paper. Then this calibration job is scanned and analyzed to have the best performance.
