Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a method and a system for establishing a “Cent for Saint” platform for enabling unspent money/funds remaining on a prepaid card. The present disclosure suggests determining the amount of money/funds left on a prepaid card. Thereafter, the present disclosure suggests communicating with the prepaid card merchant to request that they release the unspent money to the “Cent for Saint” platform so that it may be donated to a charitable organization. Further, the present disclosure suggests interacting with a prepaid card holder (if the merchant refuses to release the money/funds) by allowing the cardholder to purchase a dummy product to receive and subsequently donate the prepaid card’s remaining unspent funds to a charitable organization.
