Abstract
The invention relates to an assisted cooking method for a kitchen appliance. The assisted cooking method analyzes the visual inputs of a mechanical user interface of an electromechanical oven. The invention includes a mobile device with camera unit configured to capture images of a mechanical user interface of the oven and the foodstuff placed in the oven cavity. A decentralized computer network is configured to analyze the visual information from the extracted images and to generate a suggested course of action for a user. Additionally, the mobile device may provide the user with cooking instructions, information and feedback relating to the operation and use of the oven. By providing a user with instructions to follow a course of action, the invention enables a user to take appropriate measures that achieve optimal cooking results in a consistent manner.
