Abstract
A self-fastening washer combines the functionality of known spacers and known push nuts into a single washer. The self-fastening washer bottoms out on a portion of a bolt utilized in a D-ring assembly and functions as a spacer when the D-ring assembly is joined to a vehicle. The self-fastening washer also functions as a push nut and, thus, may include at least one internal engagement feature for engaging the bolt. The internal engagement feature is at least one of threading and a projection/tooth.
