Abstract
The present disclosure relates a method and system (100) for promoting businesses during or after emergency events. Data is received and the received data is related to businesses associated with a specific geographic area where emergency event had occurred. The transactions are occurring at one or more merchants within the specific geographic area are determined. A display of information regarding the one or more merchants is provided on a graphical user interface. The graphical user interface is configured to allow a user to perform operations such as filtering businesses, picking from a list of predicted business categories, pick business names, picking from a list of businesses having different range of size within the specific geographic area, opt-in and opt-out programs allow a display-to-display businesses. Thus, the business of SMEs is improved and also the purchase process to the consumer is eased.
