Abstract
The invention applies a proximity sensing module to a hob, which senses a human presence. A microwave sensor module working as the proximity sensing module generates microwave, which penetrates a non-metal layer and detects the reflected microwave to determine the human presence in a predetermined distance. The appliance switches off or switches based on the detection results determining whether the presence/absence of a user is.
