Abstract

This disclosure relates to the need for calibrating a 3D stereo imaging system in a broad sense where

the totality of the required calibration grid is not known or contains missing elements. The

methodology utilizes the Hough Transform for interpreting the calibration grid amid various image

distortions and returning the aligned grid points for use in subsequent calibration steps.
