Abstract
Systems and methods of the present disclosure provide a data processing system that allows for social sharing of suggested content items configured with an action button. The data 5 processing system generates an online content item (e.g., an online advertisement) to display to a user via an online social network feed. The data processing system identifies one or more friends of the user that may be interested in the content item, and configures the content item with an action button that allows the user to share the content item with the identified one or more friends. The data processing system can determine whether the user shared the content 10 item with an identified friend, and can generate a conversion metric for the content item based on this sharing event.
