Abstract

The present disclosure provides a method and a system for ciphertext query execution (CQE) over fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) encrypted data across distributed regional data centers. Sensitive data remains encrypted within regional environments, and the regional data centers store ciphertext representations of join keys and analytic attributes. A central query planner constructs a distributed execution plan for joins, aggregations, filters, and global metric computation, and regional nodes execute region-local query fragments over the encrypted data without decrypting the underlying records. Intermediate encrypted results are combined centrally or hierarchically in ciphertext form, and only a final authorized output is decrypted by an authorized decrypting system for a permitted party, or the final output remains encrypted for downstream use. A central analytics platform thereby coordinates global metric computation while sensitive records remain encrypted throughout query planning and execution, supporting applicable regulatory compliance and data residency requirements.
