Abstract
A computer-implemented system and method provide self-healing communication for a protected application programming interface (API), including a payment-network API. An API gateway receives a request associated with a client, normalizes the request and computes a content fingerprint, and an agent orchestrator causes multiple analysis agents to generate structured results associated with schema validity, security, and client behavior. A decision engine separately fuses validity and threat contributions, confidence-weights agent contributions, and modulates the threat score using client-specific trust information. A safely correctable request may be transformed and forwarded only after re-validation against a canonical schema and satisfaction of a threat condition, while hostile traffic is blocked with limited disclosure. Machine-readable remediation may be generated for programmatic client use. Incidents and root causes are recorded, and recurrence of a client, endpoint and root-cause pattern can cause a durable gateway or WAF rule to be installed so that subsequent matching traffic is pre-screened before agent evaluation. Decisions are recorded in an append-only explainability and audit log. A pluggable reasoning layer provides deterministic or model-based semantic reasoning with deterministic fallback.
