Abstract
A mass insert optical connector system for high-density applications includes a detachable connector holder and an adapter tray. The connector holder carries multiple connectors, allowing them to mate and de-mate as a single unit with a compatible adapter tray. This functionality significantly reduces the operational effort required for connectivity in high-fiber count environments. The system further includes connection and extraction jigs designed to provide uniform force distribution during both mating and de-mating processes, even when handling a high number of fibers. The detachable nature of the connector holder also facilitates individual connector service without disrupting the entire system, balancing high density with maintainability. This approach improves efficiency and reliability for managing complex fiber infrastructures.
