Abstract
In multi-turn conversations with conversational artificial intelligence, details established in earlier turns are prioritized less than more recent turns as a session grows longer, and locating or reusing valuable content from within a long conversation typically requires scanning the full transcript or manually copying individual passages. This disclosure describes a message-anchoring and bookmarking approach in which each conversational turn is assigned a persistent identifier. A cited identifier is used to isolate and prioritize the corresponding turn, while unrelated conversational content is masked from further processing. Selected turns are additionally flagged through a bookmarking control, and the flagged turns are compiled, on request, into an external document or supplied as individual reference sources to a research notebook application, without inclusion of the surrounding, unflagged conversational content.
