Abstract

This paper describes a display color correction methodology that will utilize a pre color corrected camera where the pre color corrected camera will be color corrected under ambient lighting conditions and where the display will be color corrected under the same ambient lighting conditions. The display color correction methodology will initially involve utilizing the camera to take an image of a reference color chart with a known collection of RGB pixel equivalent color values under a particular ambient lighting condition. During this camera procedure, the pre known RGB pixel equivalent color values of the reference color chart and the camera sensor recorded reference color chart image data related RGB pixel equivalent color values will be utilized for a close the gap operation on the RGB pixel equivalent color values for determining the exact and true to life RGB pixel equivalent color values for the camera. After executing the close the gap operation, the already color corrected camera will be utilized for taking an image of the display while displaying RGB color combinations, which will be require to undergo the color correcting procedure, in the same above indicated ambient lightning condition, where the now, color corrected camera sensor recorded RGB pixel equivalent color values and the RGB pixel equivalent color values of the RGB color value combinations of the display, as indicated by the computer that will be powering the display will be utilized for a second close the gap operation on the RGB pixel equivalent color values of the display.
