Abstract

Vehicle infotainment platforms, often referred to as in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems, undergo extensive testing covering device compatibility, safety compliance, and system security and stability. However, testing concurrent user interactions in multi-user and multi-display environments remains insufficient. Moreover, traditional single-user testing cannot detect concurrency-specific bugs, such as race conditions or data corruption, and custom-built concurrent tests lack scalability. This publication describes a concurrent multi-user testing system that solves existing testing solution shortcomings by detecting concurrency-related bugs using a simultaneous, isolated testing framework (or parallel execution software validation environment), reusing pre-existing tests for high scalability. Such a system enables simultaneous multi-tenant testing and efficiently ensures a safe, secure, and stable vehicle infotainment platform.
