Abstract
The IVA‑ECS‑PLUS MAX is an open‑hardware, bolt‑on exhaust‑polishing module designed to attach directly to the outlet of existing industrial pollution‑control systems—including baghouses, ESPs, cyclones, wet scrubbers, and marine exhaust scrubbers—to provide additional particulate reduction beyond what primary systems achieve. The system integrates a multi‑stage architecture consisting of a J‑groove pre‑swirl intake, dual‑band acoustic agglomeration chamber, CFD‑optimized vortex core with adjustable cone, high‑coverage wet scrubber array, multi‑stage demister (vane pack + mesh pad), and an optional polishing stage using either a mini‑electrostatic precipitator or ceramic microfilter. This combined sequence targets ultra‑fine particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM0.1), aerosols, droplets, and haze‑forming micro‑pollutants that remain after primary treatment.
The module is fully compatible with industrial stacks, marine diesel exhaust systems, small boilers, generators, and downsized mobile diesel platforms. It is designed for low structural impact, minimal retrofit requirements, and operation using existing fans and ducting. When used as a secondary polishing stage, the system has a goal of providing an additional 20–40% reduction in residual particulate matter, enabling combined primary + secondary systems to reach a goal of 98–99% total PM reduction depending on exhaust conditions. All components use standard industrial materials (316L or duplex stainless steel), conventional fabrication methods, and builder‑grade instrumentation for immediate test‑bench validation.
The IVA‑ECS‑PLUS MAX is intended as a practical, scalable, and economically viable upgrade path for facilities seeking improved particulate control without replacing existing equipment. It is fully open‑hardware, non‑proprietary, and designed for immediate fabrication, testing, and research deployment.
