Abstract

A monitoring system and method for benchmarking client logging reliability across multiple logging systems. The monitoring system includes a client-side component (prober) and a serverside component (server-side pipeline). The prober identifies scenarios, initializes and increments sequence numbers scoped to stream identifier and scenario combinations, generates probes containing sequence numbers and stream identifiers, and dispatches probes through multiple logging systems. The server-side pipeline aggregates probes over a rolling window by event creation date, joins probe records across logging systems to construct a ground truth, detects gaps in sequence numbers, and calculates reliability metrics for each logging system.
