Abstract

The present disclosure relates to 4-[[(3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrano[2,3-c]pyridin-6-yl)methyl]amino]-1-acetylpiperidine, is represented by following structural formula (5) and its process for the preparation thereof.

The present disclosure further relates to use of 4-[[(3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrano[2,3-c]pyridin-6-yl)methyl]amino]-1-acetylpiperidine of Formula (5) for the preparation of Gepotidacin mesylate is represented by following structural formula (1).
