Abstract
Proposed herein are techniques that leverage OpenRoaming authentication without requiring evolved Packet Data Gateway (ePDG) integration to provide an enhanced convergent service, such as improved accuracy for a dispatchable location used for an emergency call. The techniques can use network provided location information (NPLI) associated with Wi-Fi and cellular attachments to improve a location service for a device that is simultaneously attached to cellular and Wi-Fi access.
