Abstract
Abstract
This disclosure introduces the Caldwell Universal Open-Hardware Cancer Research Ecosystem (CUCORE-1.0), an integrated engineering architecture intended to support future oncology research through open scientific collaboration. Rather than proposing a single therapeutic intervention, CUCORE organizes numerous previously disclosed open-hardware engineering systems into a unified research framework designed to improve laboratory investigation, precision diagnostics, non-invasive therapeutic delivery, extracorporeal blood-conditioning research, computational oncology, biomarker monitoring, immunoengineering, and AI-assisted systems integration.
The architecture incorporates prior Caldwell Technical Disclosure Commons publications involving acoustofluidics, focused ultrasound concepts, vortex fluid dynamics, microbubble engineering, plasma-assisted processing, extracorporeal circulation research, adaptive sensing, AI-guided monitoring, non-invasive drug delivery, biomedical microfluidics, and modular diagnostic platforms. These engineering systems are evaluated alongside current scientific directions including personalized mRNA cancer vaccines, neoantigen-targeted immunotherapy, CAR-T and TCR cell therapies, natural killer cell engineering, liquid biopsy technologies, circulating tumor DNA analysis, focused ultrasound, sonodynamic therapy, tumor microenvironment modulation, exosome biology, and precision medicine.
CUCORE is not presented as a clinical treatment or cure for cancer. Instead, it serves as a comprehensive open-hardware engineering framework intended to stimulate multidisciplinary collaboration among universities, hospitals, national laboratories, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and industry. The objective is to provide builder-ready research concepts that may accelerate experimental validation, improve scientific understanding, and encourage iterative refinement through unrestricted worldwide collaboration.
