Abstract

Systems and methods can provide a cooperative sensing framework where network access nodes can operate in a multi-static configuration using integrated sensing and communication capabilities. In this framework, one node may transmit a signal while multiple, geographically separated nodes capture reflections from an object. This data can be processed at an edge computing layer to model the object's kinematic profile and predict its trajectory. This prediction may be used to trigger a pre-emptive remediation action, such as a make-before-break handover to an alternate path, which could mitigate connectivity loss before the active communication link is degraded and contribute to improved network resilience.
