Abstract
Gifting via wishlists is a multi-step process that requires manual data entry for item selection and adding to cart, recipient information, gift message, payment information, etc. This disclosure describes techniques that eliminate unnecessary intermediary steps in the purchase flow of digital goods to streamline and speed up gifting. The techniques allow users to view the wishlist of a target gift recipient and select a gift option to reach a gifting purchase flow. In the purchase flow, recipient-related information is automatically inferred from the source. By retrieving recipient information automatically, intermediary steps for manual data entry of recipient information and/or steps regarding item selection are eliminated.
