Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an process for the preparation of synthetic intermediates in the manufacture of Resmetirom (MGL-3196), a selective thyroid hormone receptor-β (THR-β) agonist approved for the treatment of non-cirrhotic non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) with moderate-to-advanced liver fibrosis.
