Abstract
Background processes are frequently suspended by mobile operating systems, which obstructs multitasking during long-running automated browser workflows. Visual feedback regarding the execution state of these workflows is typically absent. This disclosure explains how a live visual preview of an active Document Object Model is converted into a data stream compatible with a picture-in-picture container. A floating window is generated when a context switch occurs away from a mobile browser. A text summary is superimposed on the container to display specific workflow states. Interactive prompts are included directly within the overlay to allow state modifications. User intervention is enabled without a full context switch back to the main browser application.
