Abstract
The paper describes tool-free mechanical mounting approaches for releasably attaching a packaged sensor housing to a fixed pipe installation, particularly to a refrigeration-system pipe section containing a sight glass. Disclosed embodiments include coiled springs retained by moulded housing features, bracketed assemblies employing hanger or U-bolts with hand-tightened wing nuts, and integrated moulded clamps or cam-lock elements. These mounting features are configured to provide firm and stable positioning of the packaged sensor while enabling repeatable manual installation and removal without hand tools. The disclosed embodiments thereby improve serviceability and field usability for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians working in confined, cluttered, or otherwise difficult service environments.
