Abstract
Proposed herein is a technique, referred to as a Network-Integrated Distributed Computing (NIDC) protocol, which allows network devices to collaboratively execute distributed computational workloads by sharing embedded computing resources and routing computations based on real-time availability. The proposed NIDC protocol unifies compute orchestration, routing, and failure recovery directly within the network, eliminating reliance on external compute clusters. This enables scalable, resilient, and low-latency processing using existing network infrastructure.
