Abstract
An artificial intelligence (AI) agent can determine when to present notifications to a user. The AI agent can act as a virtual concierge and notify users when requested tasks, such as booking flights or summarizing research, have been completed. The AI agent can also notify the user of new features of applications. The AI agent can determine when to notify the user without interrupting the user from performing an important task. The AI agent can consider activity by the user or lack thereof, the type of activity of the user, a time of day, network connectivity, and/or how long since the task has been completed, when determining whether to notify the user.
