Abstract
A rack-level closed-loop liquid cooling system is disclosed to enable high-density liquid-cooled information technology equipment to operate within standard air-cooled racks. The modular air-assisted liquid cooling distribution unit can be strategically sized for deployment in a sidecar configuration or as an individual unit within the same rack as the equipment it cools. The system utilizes a redundant and modular architecture, safety mechanisms to prevent simultaneous chassis extension, liquid leak prevention mechanisms, and control logic for system protection and efficiency.
