Abstract
A technique is proposed for automatically load balancing videoconference calls made by users (e.g., customers of an organization) to a published number or URL among various agents (e.g., call center agents of the organization). A load balancer, after receiving a videoconference request, can determine whether an agent is available to take the call. If an agent is available, the load balancer will route the request to the available agent. If an agent is not available, the load balancer can determine when an agent is expected to become available and place the user on hold or reject the request with an option for the user to be contacted once an agent becomes available. This results in an easier and more efficient way for customers to engage in videoconference calls with call center agents.
