Abstract

A system and method for seamless layout switching during virtual meetings is disclosed, enhancing participant engagement and usability by allowing smooth transitions between various user interface (UI) layouts. The system enables participants to use input devices, such as a mouse or touchpad, to scroll through different layouts, adjusting the size and prominence of presentation content and participant video streams dynamically. By leveraging a video session manager module and a display control module, the system prioritizes and manages media streams, ensuring a seamless viewing experience. This includes displaying a presentation in an immersive view or balancing the view of multiple participants. The system also includes customizable settings for users to define their layout preferences and transition sensitivities, thereby improving accessibility and reducing interruptions during virtual meetings.
