Abstract
The manuscript reveals new pixel arrangement and duplication approaches that can switch display resolution. It only involves data duplication without scaling, so is power saving approach from panel side. And it allows the system to really treat it as a lower resolution display and thus also saves power from system side. Also most importantly, the unique features are it introduces the concepts of void pixel and average pixel in the pixel arrangement, and thus can be used on any resolution switching, even though we use 1.5X resolution switching as an example.
