Abstract
A display utilizes virtual primary colors in image zones of a display to produce image colors in the respective zones. The display is broken into the plurality of image zones and then driven by creating a monochrome dynamic primary color per field in each zone. This can enable driving of multiple primary LEDs per frame and remapping of image content so as to dynamically optimize scenes for each frame.
