Abstract
A method of forming a 3D liquid crystal polarization hologram optical element includes irradiating a liquid crystal composition with linearly polarized light, polymerizing the liquid crystal composition, and aligning liquid crystal polymers within the liquid crystal composition along predetermined orientations, where the aligning includes a process selected from point-by-point patterning, slit-by-slit patterning, layer-by-layer patterning, and volumetric patterning.
