Abstract
This paper describes a resolution combining composite light capturing configuration which consists of 4 light capturing configurations arranged in 2 dimensional array configuration. The composite configuration consists of 4 light capturing configurations. Each light capturing configuration will contain a convex lens stack, an enclosure and a distributed sensor system. The composite configuration, utilizing the 4 light capturing configurations that are arranged in the 2 dimensional array configuration, will have the capability to collectively and simultaneously capture 4 distributed image areas of the same 2 dimensional scene. The resolution combining composite light capturing configuration, will have the capability to combine the 4 distributed image areas of the same 2 dimensional scene into a single high resolution image area of the 2 dimensional scene.
