The present disclosure relates to a method and a system for creating inferred attributes using spend bands and/or basket size of spending. The basket size range may be generated by multiplying an index and range size along each spending group, wherein the spending groups are assigned based on the amount spent by the consumers to purchase one or more items. The present disclosure suggests preparing the input data obtained from a data input device to estimate the age of the consumers. Thereafter, an inferred attribute, that is, inferred age groups are created using spend bands and/or basket size of the spending. Finally, a visualization of the data is created based on the inferred attributes.
