Abstract
The present disclosure relates to intelligent congestion management by using a Weighted Random Early Detection (WRED) profile on default queue. This greatly enhances congestion management and enhances Quality of Service (QoS). In situations where yellow frames are received at the flow-point, the impact can be notable. Specifically, attaching a WRED profile to default queues brings proactive congestion management, prioritization, fairness, enhanced QoS, and avoidance of tail drop effects. It provides greater control and customization, resulting in improved network performance and user experience.
