Abstract
The invention proposes a microwave oven system and a method thereof to detect blocked rotation of the foodstuff in a microwave oven. The microwave oven system comprises a microwave oven, a camera unit, a control unit, and a cooking cavity with a radiation source. The camera unit located inside the cooking cavity of the microwave oven records continuous food images at defined time intervals. The captured food images are processed in the control unit to determine the change in the marked pixels on the longest edge of the food image. The invention makes sure the foodstuff rotates with the turntable within the cooking cavity of an oven system, ensuring uniform heating of food and reduced energy consumption.
