Abstract

The disclosure below provides a unique solution of a power supply unit (PSU) using an electronic

device emitting ultrasonic sound to repel bugs (small insects, cockroaches, etc.) that may crawl

inside the PSU and caused it to fail by shorting and damaging various components.

As it is impossible to entirely eliminate these small insects in our home and office environment,

some find their way to a PSU of an electronic device causing immediate failure. Product design of

electronic products usually does not include any bug protection features.
