Abstract

The disclosure describes techniques for translating speech into simple language for output to a user device. For example, speech content from a video that depicts a speaker is translated into simple language closed captions or speech, such as synthesize voice. Simple language output enables people with limited hearing or language proficiency, such as children or non-native speaker, to understand speech.
